Hi, everyone, Monique here!
I wanted to tell you about the new cards that came out: This is Talking Point Kid's edition and these are so awesome. If you have kids or even if you have nieces and nephews or anything like that. If you're around kids, if you're, you know, a teacher or anything like that, then these are perfect.
These cards are perfectly geared towards kids and how they think in their minds. And it gets them to just think about just all these different types of stuff and expand their mind. And it actually kind of makes them more intelligent because they're kind of forced to think about these things that they've never had o think about before, which is kind of interesting. And everything is just positive and good and just helps them to just understand the way the world works in a very positive and kid-friendly way.
So these are amazing Talking Point Kids Cards. And again the packaging is great so you get them and they're in these box. And they're conversation starters. That's really what they're called. It says 200 conversation starters for adults to connect with kids.
So what you're gonna do is you're gonna take these cards and, you know, ask them questions, ask the kids questions, and they're going to answer you. And it's going to expand their mind, get them thinking and I think make them happier because they're forced to pretty much, you know go into those depths of their mind that they're so interested in but they can't always connect with.
So these are the cards. Here you go. When you open them right there, you get like our stories. So you get all the information about what the Talking Point Cards are all about. And then it goes into the categories so everything is labelled. So it talks about what the cards are all about. And they're color coded, which is great.
So blue is 'Home and Family', Green is 'The Future', Red is 'School', Purple is 'Personal Wellbeing', and yellow is 'Fun and Random'.
So all of these different categories are just you know, what each card kind of refers to. Everything's very organized and color coded. And then there's tips for parents. So this is really good. If you need help kind of getting these conversations starters with your kids getting them going, then you will want this card because it kind of gives you tips on, it says "Use these cards at mealtime, don't cut off their answers." So let the kids expand on their answers. And then it says, "Don't pressure your child." so yeah, just let them go wild with these answers.
And these are just so innovative and cool and different. Then there's an FAQ which talks about, you know the questions you might have. And then it starts with the questions which is the best part.
So I'll just pick the first one so you can see kind of what they're about. The first one is "What is your favorite thing we do together as a family? And why do you enjoy that?" So this will really give kids a chance to kind of think about their likes and dislikes and become more confident in the process because it's going to help them really think and focus on what they like and what they don't like. And that's very important for character building. And it's also important for creating self-esteem in a child.
So it's really great. And again, they're color coded so these are the blue, they're so cute. They have little stars on the back. So they're very decorative and kids will love to like hold them and play with them because they're good cards. They're high quality cards that you can hold. They're not gonna really tear or break or anything.
So it's really good to have this on hand just in case, you know, you just have one of those games or mealtimes where you just want everybody to start talking.
So here's another one. This is under 'Future', it's the green category. And it says "What do you think you will look like when you're older?" I mean, what a great question. I just think that's so interesting and kids will just have a field day with that question because it'll really get them thinking and wondering, like "What am I gonna look like?" And it will help their imagination and their ability to just see things that, you know aren't necessarily there, but in their mind and kind of describe that, which is super cool.
So here's the red section. And this says, "If a friend tells you a secret and it makes you worried, what would you do?"
And this is 'School'. So these are more serious questions, more thought provoking questions, maybe for a little bit older children.
And here's another question under purple, which is 'Tough Topics'. So this is gonna be even more intense than the 'School' ones "How do you like to relax?" Which might not seem at first, like such a tough topic but for some kids they might be like "What are you talking about?" Because that's such kind of a concept that maybe haven't thought about. And so it kind of forces them to think about 'How do I like to relax?'
And then the last category 'Fun and Random', the yellow category. "If you could make three wishes, what would they be?" And of course, that's gonna be fun. You know, you might get some kids saying they want you know, toys or whatever but then you might get some kids saying other things like you know, "More time with my friends" or something like that.
So it will really help you to get to know your kids better your nieces and nephews maybe the kids you teach, which is really great.
Another 'Fun and Random' question is 'What was a recent dream that you had?' which is super interesting cause not all kids talk a lot. Some do some don't.
And so if you ask them these questions you'll get them to start talking. If they're more of the quiet type or they don't really like to talk about themselves or talk about what their day is like then these questions are really opened them up and kind of force them to just expound on their, you know thoughts and feelings, which is really important. Like I said, for the self-esteem and self-confidence and character building.
So definitely check out these cards. They're amazing. These are the Talking Point Kid's edition. And they're great to have on hand and use during all types of occasions parties, just regular dinnertime. I mean, they're great.
So definitely check them out. I really think they are very helpful and I would highly, highly recommend them!

Talking Point Cards started in 2015 when founder Ben Jones asked the question: “What is happening to our relationships?”
It seemed that our time was increasingly consumed by technology which had replaced real, genuine human relationships.
His solution to this problem was to reclaim family time from TV, Social Media & Online Games with resources so engaging& useful that everyone would want to unplug to enjoy some quality time& real conversation with friends & family. This is where the idea for Talking Point Cards was born.
As Talking Point Cards grew, we noticed that communication was just one area which was suffering from the all-consuming impact of technology.
In response to our customer feedback, we expanded our focus to include physical activity, screen-free entertainment, household management, self-care and mental health products - all to get people of all ages away from the screen and living their happiest, healthiest, most fulfilling life possible.
Our goal is to build a Real-Life Revolution; a worldwide community to offer positive support and products about promoting real relationships and healthy lifestyles in a digital world! This mission pervades everything we do.
