Context: I had not seen my grandparents in over 7 years and while we FaceTime here and there I wanted more meaningful conversations with them, especially before they’re gone.I’m not even kidding that my stoic, man-of-few-words grandfather did not want to stop talking. He recollected moments from his childhood, young adulthood and his career. I got to know him more in the couple of hours with these cards than I have in my entire life (and he raised me). He even brought it back up at breakfast the following morning wanting to continue the conversation. My grandma got to share with me all the trouble she got into and I learned so much about her prior to her marriage to my grandfather! These cards may just be text on some paper, but honestly, I’m taking them to every family member I want to get to know better - my parents, my aunts and uncles, everyone I can. Stories are priceless.
Loved these cards as it brought the whole family together we all had so much fun & it got the kids really thinking
Best part not a iphone or ipad in sight
We used this in the classroom today that I work in and it was an awesome learning experience with our 18-22 year old students.
We have been trying to find a game to play while we eat dinner together This gives us something structured to do that is flexible enough to suit any time and has no set up or pack down Love it
Absolutely brilliant product, I've been sceptical of getting these due to the price but so glad I did in the end! Highly recommend
That it is portable is huge for our busy lifestyle. The Talking Points-Teen Edition card game sits on the front console of our car and while at first the kids were hesitant to put aside social media, now they willingly tuck aside their devices to participate - selecting a card with topic appropriate to the travel time allotted while going to and from activities. We've had many insightful thought-provoking conversations which prior would have ended quickly answered with a few words.
I bought these for my three teenage grandsons, who mostly "communicate" in one-word texts, ifwhen they do at all. After Christmas Eve dinner, they, their parents and i sat around chatting and we started going through the questions. The boys (13, 15, 16) really got into it and each took turns picking leading a question! We had a lovely time, digging deep and learning so much about each other that night, and I hope they continue to do this sporadically through the year.
The cards are very interactive. And our teens dont have any problems sitting down and having a conversation.
I bought these cards to help with building rapport with teens. The questions are great. I bought 3 packs. I would say I should have only bought 1 pack because they are all very similar. If you are a therapist or coach, you really only need one pack.
This game is full of fun ideas. We read every card. Like a good book, we couldn't put it down. I could list some of our favorites but I don't want to ruin the surprise. I'm a regular gamer of all types of board, card and tabletop games. These cards are on good quality card stock. Nice storage box. Bright printing with good colors. A good buy that won't break the bank but worth every penny.
Dif date ideas and it includes a dollar sign as advice as option of how much you want spend. I like. Very cool

200 questions. 8 categories. This is not designed to be a game, but a set of talking points. I guess that's the name. :)Categories include: Family, Values, Finances, Home Life, Outside Influences, Goals, Intimacy, HealthMany of them read like dating application cards: "How will we manage the responsibilities of caring for aging or unwell family members?" "Is it important for you to live near your extended family?" plans for retirement funds, etc. This is like a workbook but with cards. These are NOT first date materials or even 10th date materials, I'd dare to say. This is the 'settling down, are we going to stay together forever and what will that look like' style questions.I had thought they were more for just starting conversations with anyone and everyone but they are much more long-term relationship oriented than that!

These cards make a wonderful getting-to-know-you game, for couples who want better communication. The questions are respectful but fairly invasive, so it's best to do just between two people, and not as a party game with a larger group. They're very thought-provoking and topically deep, encouraging good free expression. Worth it!
