These cards are a great way to spark meaningful conversations with your partner. I appreciate that the cards are designed to be positive and avoid potentially sensitive subjects. However, some questions might not be relevant for everyone, especially those in newer or non-romantic relationships. These cards offer a valuable way to deepen your connection with your loved one, but it's important to consider whether they fit your situation.

The card game is great when couples are traveling or whenever. There are 50 cards that has text on one side. The back has 2 more deeper dive questions with the same topic. The cards challenges couples to be honest and open with each other.

I'll admit that I have several different sets of cards like this, all in different brands, and this is not my favorite. I feel like it would work best for a committed relationship vs a newer couple who may have difficulty answering some of the questions. With that being said, there is a decent variety of questions here. Many of them seem to venture on a more playful level (like if we found buried treasure in our house, what would we do with it?). Some of the questions are interesting and different from a lot of other sets, but I was somehow left disappointed with it just the same. If you've never explored other similar decks of cards and questions, this might be more up your alley.I do like that there are prompts on the backs of the cards to explore the topic more thoroughly. This will help you move beyond simply answering the questions to analyzing them and truly talking, so that is a plus that these cards have and many others I've looked at do not.

Recently, my husband and I decided to try the Talking Point Get Talking Relationship Cards, even though we've been together for over 25 years. At first, I was skeptical and thought these cards were probably more suited for new couples, and they might seem silly for two people who know each other as well as we do by now. However, I was pleasantly surprised.Every night, we select one or two cards and take turns asking each other the questions and the follow-ups when appropriate. It has been a nice way to reconnect and chat with each other outside of the everyday humdrum routine. I don't consider this a game, so I don't know how other people use them, but for us, they are more of a way to have a meaningful conversation with your partner.It was interesting to see how much we knew about each other. A few little surprises opened up, as well as changes over time that we hadn't talked about. Some cards didn't apply or were for couples in different stages of their relationship, but overall, they were well-suited to most couples.

For reference, I am a mental health therapist, working mostly with adults in private practice. Sometimes clients really struggle to initiate conversations with partners, not knowing what to ask or how to get past the surface to get to the deeper, "getting to know the real you" stuff. This deck has the types of questions that can help facilitate these types of talks. Will they work for everyone? probably not. But the questions are presented in positive, non threatening ways, and on some of them, I think the follow up questions might even be a better starting point. The card deck is about the size of standard playing cards, making it easy to use, and seems like it will hold up as you would expect a deck of cards. Some cards seem more appropriate for newer couples (would you like to get a pet in the future?), while others for established relationships (how has your view of me changed over time?). I think it has a good balance of each, so that most people can find quite a few that are applicable to their relationship. I also like that card decks allow people to randomly pick a card, and feels less intimidating than "we have to complete these worksheets" to get couples to reflect on themselves and start conversations.

A set of cards made to provide relationship building, continued friendships, digging for deeper details with a couple or even close family/friends. The cards have an initial though question and then can be flipped to have two additional “deeper” questions to continue on with that subject. I would be certain that both partners are willing to participate/engage with full honestly and openness, but any way to strengthen communication is good for human connection.
