I got these for the family for when we are having our evening meal children age 9 and 11 both have autism one has other additional needs . They love to pick a card and we have a question to answer . It stimulates their brain into thinking for an answer and keeps them at the table longer to finish their dinner the youngest is always in a rush to get back to his console ., whereas now he enjoys picking a card and thinking about a the question these have been a great support for our family meal time and every family should get a pack . We had 3 of our kids (in their 40s) round the table with us parents aged 75-92, and it facilitated a much more interesting and deeper sharing than we sometimes have. This despite communication barriers (2 deaf kids sign language users) but everyone made the effort because each contribution was so interesting and in some cases, unexpected and unusual! Our teenage daughter was eating at the table by herself at different times to myself and my husband. We never seemed to synchronize our meal times. Like most teen-agers she would then disappear into her room straight after finishing her meal. We never seemed to sit and talk and everyone we tried to start a conversation she was abrupt and annoyed that w we wanted to connect with her. When I told my family I had a game for us to play there were sighs and " oh no " flying about. Now my daughter even asks me to do the cards as we sit down to eat.
