Sometimes it's difficult to have deep conversations with the kids. You can't always just jump into an important topic without building up to it. Our kids are getting to the stage where it is important for us to understand how they feel and be able to help them out with some of those sensitive topics. These conversation starters are helping to build that bridge of trust. There are a variety of topics to select from as well as different questions to get into those deeper conversations. I think these cards help manage the topics and discussions.

I appreciate these cards for helping me figure out what to ask my teens to find out what they know about healthy relationships and what I need to teach them. I like that the questions are asked in a curious way and not at all attacking. My teenagers don't love questions like these (or to communicate with me at all) but the way they are phrased makes them mostly tolerable ;-). They encourage your teen to tell you what they already know and what their opinions are in a respectful and non-condescending way. A few examples are "What are some signs that a relationship is healthy?". A follow-up question is "What are some signs that a relationship might not be healthy". Or "Why do you think it's important to have boundaries in a relationship?" with follow-up questions of "What are some boundaries you think are important in relationships?" and "How do these boundaries help maintain healthy and respectful relationships?" Overall, I find the card set to be a good investment for talking about harder topics that can get teens defensive if not done well. These cards are fantastic at doing that. Heck, the cards are fantastic at getting me, as an adult, to think about things that I wouldn't have otherwise in my own relationships.

These were helpful in asking important questions to your teen about relationships. These were also helpful in getting to know how they feel and what they think. They help in asking questions in an objective way. The cards themselves are made with quality materials and about the size of a deck of cards. They do have a qr code for their website where you can buy more talking point cards with different topics or geared towards kids, adults, couples. They were a good value for the money however I do think it might be helpful to have researched healthy answers for parents who may also struggle with social emotional understanding. This way they can provide healthy suggestions when their teen is unsure of how to handle a situation.

This is a fantastic ice breaker for a youth group, for health class, or for the parent that may not regularly have deep conversations with their teen. It helps facilitate open conversation and can lead to some very fun 'when I was your age' moments.

I'm really happy to have this to help start conversations that we might not otherwise think of on our own. My daughter and I have a really strong, open relationship, but most every relationship could benefit from better communication. Recommended!

I wouldn’t present this to your teen as a gift. They would give you the biggest eye roll. But this deck of cards has some really thoughtful questions and talking points and I think it is a fabulous product. I am not actually using it as a game but keeping it in my purse so I can pull one out as a conversation starter in the car for long rides. Love it!

I am a school psychologist and I bought these cards to initiate conversations in groups at work. However, these could be used among family members as well. The questions are thought provoking and they aren't "cheesy" like some other conversation cards that I have used. I love that a lot of them focus on maintaining appropriate boundaries, as this is an area that adolescents really struggle with these days. These definitely are functional in that many great conversations has stemmed from talking about these cards. They are well worth the very reasonable cost.

These cards definitely help your teens open up on a wide variety of topics. I do think that they are well thought out and if you use them they can definitely help with communication. My daughter likes them and we have had some deep conversations.
